AI-ALOE welcomed National Science Foundation (NSF) Program Director, James Donlon for an in-person and online presentation and discussion about the work being done in the Institute headquartered at Georgia Institute of Technology. ALOE is developing novel AI theories and techniques to advance online learning and adult education. Nearly a year into the launch of AI-ALOE, researchers were able to present their latest findings and work, which included Student Mental Model Analyzer for Research and Teaching (SMART), Social Agent Mediated Interaction (SAMI), Virtual Ecological Research Assistant (VERA), Jill Watson, an AI education trailblazer and virtual teaching assistant and more.
