The National Science Foundation (NSF) announced today that it is investing $20 million in a collaborative effort by Georgia universities and other partners to leverage artificial intelligence to transform adult learning in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) fields. Georgia State will be responsible for the learning analytics portion of the grant, said Scott Crossley, a member of the research team and professor of Applied Linguistics and English as a Second Language at the university. Min Kyu Kim, assistant professor in Learning Sciences in Georgia State’s College of Education & Human Development, will serve as co-lead for learning analytics.
