Two AI-ALOE members present AI work at the 23rd International Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Education (AIED2022).
Sungeun An, a Ph.D. student in the School of Interactive Computing. PhD in Human Centered Computing at Georgia Tech shared a poster which explained the Understanding Self -Directed Learning with Sequential Mining, while Georgia Research Alliance & Georgia Tech Project Manager, Chaohua Ou discussed the design and development of intelligent textbooks.
This years conference theme “AI in Education: Bridging the gap between academia, business, and non-profit in preparing future-proof generations towards ubiquitous AI” was created to stimulate discussion on how AI shapes and can shape education for all sectors, how to advance the science and engineering of intelligent interactive learning systems, and how to promote broad adoption. Additionally, engaging with the various stakeholders – researchers, educational practitioners, businesses, policy makers, as well as teachers and students.
The conference also featured conversations surrounding novel research ideas meeting practical needs to build effective intelligent human-technology ecosystems that support learning.
