Prof. Heffernan will address a few different ways we are using LLMs within ASSISTments: (1) Using LLMs to score and give feedback when students answer open-ended questions and enabling students a chance to resubmit their explanations; (2) Using LLMs to engage students with tutoring dialogue when answering closed-ended questions; (3) Running experiments using teacher-created contents vs. GPT-created content.
